Summit Music Festival
The Summit Music
Festival was founded in the summer of 2002
to provide a high-quality musical experience
for singers who were seeking a performance
outlet in the summer months. Under the
leadership of Artistic Director, Dr. Jason
C. Tramm, the Summit Music Festival has presented
five annual summer concerts of masterworks by
Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Orff,
and Mendelssohn. The 60-voice choir
Festival Choir is chosen by competitive
audition each season and they perform with
professional orchestra and renowned
soloists. All previous concerts played to
capacity crowds in the magnificent sanctuary
of Central Presbyterian Church, which
co-sponsors the Festival. A lecture series
is held in the weeks before the performances
at the Summit Free Public Library. The Summit
Music Festival is run by a volunteer
Board and supported through the generosity
of its donors and friends.
